Vibrators and impactors simplify the handling of bulk materials. When mounted externally on containers, pipes or hoppers, they improve the flow properties of powders and granulates. If it is discovered only later in the process that such a discharge or conveying aid is needed, it is particularly advantageous when the component can simply be bonded on instead of being welded or screwed.
Vibrators and impactors are used to loosen, separate, compact and sieve powders, granulates or pellets. They are typically mounted on U-profiles, mounting brackets or metal plates and attached to containers and pipes. To achieve optimal results, suitable mounting elements must already be considered during system design and engineering. However, complications arise when the need for vibration technology is identified retrospectively—a common occurrence in practice. New bulk materials, altered formulations or process changes often require additional flow or discharge aids. Yet high-quality installations, such as those made from stainless steel, usually lack appropriate mounting points. Welding is rarely an ideal solution afterwards: it can impair surface quality—especially on thin-walled containers, hoppers or pipes—and carries the risk of fine stress cracks.
Simply Bonded Instead of Welded
The advantages of adhesive bonding in mechanical engineering have been recognised for some time and are already widely used—up to 15 litres of adhesive, for instance, are used in the construction of a single car. This inspired the engineers at NetterVibration to develop a reliable bonding method for mounting vibrators and impactors. After extensive research and testing, they successfully created a technology that eliminates the need for welding.
The NKK glueing console enables vibrators and impactors to be attached easily, permanently and without damaging the surface of silos, pipes or hoppers. The benefits of the bonding method are clear, and practical experience from recent years has already convinced users across multiple industries.
Efficient Energy Transmission
The NKK adhesive console ensure efficient energy transfer between the vibrator or impactor and the connected container, silo or hopper. The console is mounted quickly and easily using an elastic adhesive—no specialised personnel are required. Once applied, it serves as a stable carrier for selected vibrators or impactors. Despite the simple installation process, the connection is safe and proven in industrial use.
One major advantage is that installation can even be carried out during ongoing production, without interrupting operations. The container does not need to be emptied beforehand, and no heat-induced damage can occur, as would be the case with welding. The NKK’s design ensures even and efficient transmission of vibration energy, while the elastic adhesive layer provides a durable bond resistant to cracking or breaking.
Bonding with the NKK is particularly suitable for thin-walled or pre-stressed containers, silos and hoppers, continuous production processes, materials that are difficult or impossible to weld, certain plastics, and ATEX-rated zones. In addition to standard models, NetterVibration also offers customised versions, individually designed and manufactured to meet specific requirements.
