Stepwise Breakup of Lumps in Hygroscopic Bulk Solids – Vibrating Table and Screening Technology for Consistent Product Quality

Hygroscopic bulk solids such as salt or lime tend to form lumps due to moisture. This can cause blockages, irregular dosing, and production interruptions. A customer required an adaptable process to reliably break up lumps and prepare the material for downstream processing steps.

Our solution

The customer implemented a vibrating table powered by two electric NEG vibrators, combined with three vibrating screens of decreasing mesh size. This allowed stepwise reduction of lumps to the desired fineness. The vibration intensity can be adjusted for different lump sizes and product types. Screens were fitted with quick-release clamps for fast and easy cleaning.

Our advantages
  • Stable and uniform product flow despite moisture
  • Higher process reliability and reproducible product quality
  • Easy cleaning thanks to quick-release clamps
  • Adjustable vibration intensity for salt, lime, and other hygroscopic bulk solids
