The PKL series pneumatic interval impactors are a proven solution for dislodging stubborn materials from walls, pipes, and containers. They reliably prevent bridging and arching while enabling efficient residue evacuation. Powered by compressed air, they can also be used in potentially explosive environments.
Operation is simple and robust: compressed air (oil-lubricated or oil-free) pushes the piston against a spring, which releases when vented, driving the piston sharply against the impact surface (PKL 190–740) or an integrated impact plate (PKL 1000 and larger). Safe operation at 10 strokes per minute is guaranteed, with higher frequencies possible.
The PKL series offers numerous variants and options: models are designed for different wall thicknesses and impact forces. The stainless steel S version provides exceptional chemical resistance. For ATEX environments or high-temperature applications up to 160 °C, suitable PKL models (E or HT) are available. The EE version features an elastomer impact plate for significant noise reduction – the rubber hammer effect! Soundproof hoods are also available. The ST self-control version allows continuous impact with a permanent air supply. Various mounting options are offered: welding brackets and plates (ASB/ASP), adhesive mounts (NKK), or vacuum holders (VAC).
