A Netter customer in the construction industry was working with gravel consisting of rocks of varying sizes, which needed to be separated into groups of large and small rocks while conveying the gravel from one station in the process to the next.
The customer purchased a KRD-FL 80-350 closed trough and sieve with dual outlets, one for larger rocks and one for smaller rocks. The sieve is driven by a NTK 85 NF pneumatik linear vibrator connected via series FlexiLink. During processing, the smaller rocks fell through the openings of the sieve and were conveyed through one outlet, while the larger rocks stayed on top of the mesh and were conveyed through the other outlet.
A NetterVibration customer in the plastics manufacturing industry was working with plastic granulates of different sizes. In order to process the material quickly and efficiently, the customer needed to separate the granulate pieces by size as it was conveyed.
The customer purchased a Netter KRE 25-120 closed trough and sieve with dual outlets, one for larger particles and one for smaller particles. They then installed two Netter NEG 25210 electric external vibrators to the equipment. During processing, the smaller granulates fell through the openings of the sieve and were conveyed through one outlet, while the larger pieces stayed on top of the mesh and were conveyed through the other outlet.
A NetterVibration customer working with large amounts of wood chips was experiencing difficulty completely unloading the trucks delivering the material. Once the wagon silo was turned over the container, the wood chips passed through a sieve grate that prevented the largest pieces from falling into the container. However, the large wood chips tended to block the flow through the grate openings, causing them to build up. The small chips were also very likely to accumulate on the grate. As a result, workers were required to manually break up the blockages.
The customer purchased and installed a Netter NTP 48 B pneumatic piston vibrator. The vibration eliminated the accumulation of small pieces and allowed the smaller wood chips to flow through, while leaving the large pieces on top of the grate. This in turn substantially reduced downtime because workers no longer had to manually break up the blockages.
A NetterVibration customer working with a bulk solid that tends to retain small amounts of moisture, like salt or lime, needed to process the material so that the lumps that had formed would be broken apart. These lumps varied in size, requiring that the process be adaptable to these varying conditions.
Using a vibrating table VTR 6-6 that is driven by 2 NEG 25930 electric vibrators, the customer began processing these bulk solids through a series of three vibrating sieves with progressively smaller mesh widths. The resulting output of this process was material that has only smaller and softer lumps that can then be processed with a normal sieve assembly.
Also, because the grates in this sieve must be cleaned frequently, the sieve grates are fixed in place using quick-release latches.
